CHARACTERISTICS
Sulphur carries out very specific functions in the plant, as an important constituent of biologically active compounds. The lack of sulphur in soils causes serious metabolic imbalances, as the plant is unable to produce proteins; S-deficiency occurs as a chlorosis that starts from the younger leaves.
Its use determines a lowering of pH in soil solution, thus AMMONIUM SULPHATE can be conveniently used to modify the reaction of excessively alkaline soils. For this purpose, AMMONIUM SULPHATE can be applied by foliar application or by fertirrigation with periodic treatments, respecting the recommended dosage. Some elements (Fe, P) in an alkaline environment are poorly assimilable; the use of AMMONIC SULPHATE makes not only sulfur, but also many other elements, more available. It regulates the availability of Nitrogen (it has a function in nitrification and urease activity) and, therefore, the increase in fertilisation efficiency.
DOSE RATES AND CONDITIONS OF USE:
| CROP | FOLIAR APPLICATION | FERTIRRIGATION |
| All crops | 200 - 300 g/hl | 8 - 10 Kg/ha |
In a protected environment (greenhouses, tunnels, etc.) reduce the recommended dosage by 20-25%.
